The Income Tax Department has provided much-needed relief for taxpayers required to conduct an income tax audit for the financial year 2023-24 (Assessment Year 2024-25). Initially, the deadline to submit the tax audit report was set for September 30, 2024. However, in a recent update, the tax authorities have extended this deadline to October 7, 2024.
This extension gives taxpayers an additional seven days to complete and file their tax audit reports. It’s important for businesses and individuals required to undergo the audit to take note of this extension and use the extra time to ensure that their financial records are accurate and their tax audits are submitted without errors.
